My Sexy Saturday – March 25th, 2017 #MySexySaturday #MySexyAuthors #Saturday7 #MSS182
Welcome to My Sexy Saturday! This is where writers post 7 paragraphs, 7 sentences, or 7 words from their WIP or Published Books. This week’s theme is My Sexy Love.
Today’s excerpt comes from my second book in the Dark Assassins Series, Reaper.
A wolf-shifter and his powerful human.
Reaper had expected it to be an easy assignment. Break into a biotech facility with minimum security and rescue a group of immortals who were subject to deadly experiments and eliminate those who might try to fight back. But the moment he walked into the glass prison and spotted a human woman being held with the immortals, his mission changed.
She became his mission.
Before Reaper had a chance to explain that he was there to help her, she blinded him and the rest of his team and slipped away. Although she had escaped him, a protectiveness that he’d never felt washed over him, and he became determined to find her.
Ara has always depended on herself, but there was something about the shifter that made her want to trust him. She recognized him as someone who was capable of protecting her as well as understanding her secrets without turning her away, but before she could allow herself to trust him, she ran.
But with no resources and running out of ideas about how to protect herself, will she be able to lower her defenses and allow the shifter to help her?

“You’re my mate, beautiful. You’re not going anywhere.”
Although his words were fierce, she knew better. He hadn’t touched her in the long minutes they had been in the room alone.
As she thought back on their relationship, his claiming, she should have insisted that they wait to see how the situation would end.
But she didn’t regret telling him that she loved him.
His feelings must’ve changed since the danger lifted. He felt obligated to keep her around because he’d bit her, claimed her, and she’d changed into a wolf. But she needed him to be happy.
She met his eyes then, and before he could hide it from her, she spotted disgust. Flinching, she pushed off the wall and started toward the door. He might have been able to talk himself into a relationship with her, but she would save him the torment and leave. She lowered her eyes to the ground and counted the steps as she walked. But before she made it halfway to the door, she was lifted into the air. Blinking, she found herself on her back on the soft bed. Reaper hovered over her with a fierce gaze.
“I can’t live without you. You own my soul, and no matter how many people come after you, or how dangerous you think you are, I will love you and will always be by your side.” Reaper kissed her then, one that was meant to be punishing but only managed to steal her breath.
