Meet my Maddie #MFRWAuthor

For the #MFRWAuthor 52-Week Blog hop, this week, week 43 Meet My Pets.

I haven’t been around the last two weeks because I’ve been getting my new cover design website up and running.  I’m happy to say that I now that I have premade covers available for purchase and I also offer custom graphics for authors.

And now…I have to brag about my little girl, Maddie.

My husband and I adopted Maddie when she was 8 weeks old after she was rescued from a kill shelter in western Colorado.  We had been looking for a dog to adopt for two years by the time Maddie came into our lives and when we met her, she was perfect.

My husband went out to get her from the car, and when he picked her up and she cuddled into his neck, I knew immediately that Maddie was ours.  She came inside our house, sniffed around, took a long drink from our cat’s water fountain, peed on the carpet and promptly fell asleep.  We couldn’t help but fall in love with her.

Maddie is the most laid-back dog ever.  Every day during the week, I take her for a long walk.  On the weekends, we head to an indoor swimming pool specifically for dogs, where she enjoys going after her ball and swimming with her friends.  Whenever we walk or swim, she loves to sleep and she has her own little pink blanket she cuddles under.

She’s our little girl.  She’s a healthy nine-year-old now.  She spoiled rotten and I don’t mind saying so.  She gets her teeth brushed every night and she sleeps on our bed, cuddling with either me or my husband, usually under her blanket.  Now that it’s getting colder outside, she loves to cuddle next to us when she sleeps.
Everyone that meets her, loves her, and we are so happy that we have Maddie in our lives.  We love her.
Thanks for stopping by!!
